A Crowded Waterside Space Where People Can Come Together to Be Close to Nature
〜Flower gardens created by local people〜
The Hijikawa River flowing through Ozu City, the fields spreading out around the river
Rape flowers in spring, sunflowers in summer, cosmos in autumn
Complete transformation of the flower gardens with each season!
The flowers are planted and tended by students of Ozu Agricultural High School and members of the Flower Planting Team for the Beautification of the Hijikawa River.
In mid-march, “The Hijikawa surrounded by Rape Flowers” and numerous other lively events are held.
This is a space created by the maintenance of pathways and other essential infrastructure by the government’s river city support program and the maintenance of benches by Ozu City.
