Origawa Dam is a rare dam for Japan, where you can view the dam’s interior without a reservation.
Inside the dam, there is a viewing terrace and a gallery that makes use of the inspection gallery, etc.
The dam is magnificent when viewed from below.

You can view the gate room, etc. which is not usually open to the public.
You will be accompanied by a staff member, so for this please book in advance.

There is a roadside station next to the dam.
The roadside station is a lively tourist spot, even on weekdays. It was opened as part of the “Dams Open to the Community” project.
