〜Ashikita-Izumi Road on the Minami-Kyushu Expressway〜
The Minami-Kyushu Expressway connects Yatsushiro and Kagoshima cities.
This road greatly contributes to revitalizing the regional economy and ensuring high-speed punctuality in the southwestern part of Kyushu.
On March 2, 2019, the stretch between Tsunagi IC and Minamata IC (about 5.6 km) was opened, and construction is now underway between Minamata IC and Fukuro IC (name tentative), which is about 7.4 km long.
Once this road is completed, it will be unavailable for tours, as it will be for automobile use only.
Now is a golden opportunity to “see, touch and experience” this project, one that won’t come again.
Over 3,000 visitors have toured this project under construction over the past three years.
