Nagayasuguchi Dam

Increased Function!! Nagayasuguchi Dam
Dam Protecting Life around the Naka River

〜Experience the best of Japanese civil engineering technology and natural energy〜

Two new gates have been completed at the Nagayasuguchi Dam. Trial operation started with all eight new and old gates in June 2019.
The flood control capacity of the dam improved to reduce floods and droughts in the Naka River basin.

Dam remodeling work that started in September 2012 is heading into the final stage, remaining downstream from the dam and part of an energy dissipater.

Construction that proceeded during dam operations is exactly the best of Japanese civil engineering.
Please take a look at the new and improved Nagayasuguchi Dam. The view of the gate discharge is the best part.
